20. What is “chapel?”

Chapel is the time that DLHS sets aside to honor God. On Tuesdays and Thursdays students go to the gym for a 30-minute chapel that includes prayer, singing, and a short sermon or message.

21. Why should I choose DLHS over other Christian high schools in the Denver Metro area?

We are the premier choice for Christian education in the Denver Metro Area for the following reasons:

a. Other Christian schools of similar or smaller enrollment and size do not offer what we do. Our staff is more qualified, we have more courses and quality programs, and our facilities are similar or better than any of the smaller church-affiliated Christian schools in the area.

b. Our academics are top-notch and our ACT scores and our percentages of college-bound students show that. We are offering a better education than the large Christian High Schools in the area at a lower cost and with more opportunities for extra-curricular involvement.

c. We are bold about our faith – we are the best at talking about Jesus Christ and what God has done for us. In a society that is generally afraid to be up-front about its beliefs, we buck the trend and shine as “Lights” to our community.
