Want to know more about DLHS? Want to become involved with DLHS? Welcome Back! |
Academics Denver Lutheran High School is a Christian high school that nurtures academic excellence and encourages growth in Christ. What does that mean for a student at DLHS? DLHS is dedicated to nurturing each student to achieve his or her full academic potential. One of our objectives is to prepare students for life after high school. For most of the graduates of DLHS, that means going on to college. Well over 90% of DLHS graduates go on to college. DLHS is academically challenging. Core courses are taught at a higher level and pace than comparable courses at public high schools. Honors, AP, and dual-credit college courses are provided and encouraged. Yet, DLHS is dedicated to providing all students, regardless of ability, with the time and care that it takes to be successful. Academic labs during the school day allow students to seek and receive extra help from teachers. Teachers are 100% committed to going the extra mile to assist students. The best part about the academics at DLHS is that all classes encourage growth in Christ as well. What does that mean?
At a time when the majority of secondary educational options will promote and mold students in a secular, distinctly non-Christian worldview, DLHS is dedicated to the spiritual development of its students in every aspect of its academic approach. |
